Custom LCDs and displays, made for your product.
Custom segment LCDs, TFT and touch integration, driver electronics and smooth embedded interfaces, from the glass to the pixels.
Custom LCD & Displays at picoBytes
The display is often the part of a product customers judge first. It has to be readable in sunlight, respond instantly to touch and fit the enclosure exactly. Off-the-shelf modules don’t always get you there.
We design custom segment LCDs for low-power products, integrate TFT and IPS panels with capacitive or resistive touch, design the driver electronics and build the interface itself, so the display behaves the way your users expect.
What we do
Custom segment LCD
Glass and icon layout, driver selection and firmware for ultra-low-power readouts.
TFT & touch integration
RGB, MIPI, SPI and parallel panels with capacitive or resistive touch.
Driver & interface boards
Backlight, power and interface electronics designed alongside your main board.
Embedded GUIs
Smooth, branded interfaces in LVGL, Qt or Android, tuned for your hardware.
Panel selection
Help choosing size, resolution, brightness and viewing angle for your use and budget.
Samples to volume
Help working with display manufacturers, from first samples through to volume orders.
From first call to launch
Discover
We map the requirement, constraints and budget, and agree on what “done” looks like.
Prototype
A proof-of-concept board, clickable design or first build that tests the riskiest parts early.
Build
Development in short milestones with regular demos, on real hardware and real screens.
Launch & support
Production handover, store or server deployment, and updates after release.
Common questions
What is a custom segment LCD?
A display made with only the digits, icons and text your product needs. Custom segment LCDs use very little power and cost little in volume, which makes them ideal for meters, appliances and battery devices.
Is there a minimum order for a custom LCD?
Custom glass usually has a minimum order set by the manufacturer. We get quotes and help you decide whether custom glass or a standard module makes more sense for your volumes.
Can you build the user interface as well as the hardware?
Yes. We design and build the GUI with LVGL, Qt or Android, and tune it for smooth performance on your processor.
Can you replace a display that is no longer available?
Often, yes. We find a suitable replacement panel and adapt the interface board and firmware to fit your existing product.
